kinloch lodge
Just across the lake from Glenorchy is seasonal hearty home cooked food made from fresh, local ingredients. Bread is homemade, the free run chickens lay the breakfast eggs and many of the vegetables come from the garden. All appetites are catered for. The view can be enjoyed from the deck or in the cosy restaurant by the fire when cooler. Groups welcome.

Fully cooked English breakfast and traditional favourites are on the menu for those with a hearty appetite. For something lighter, options include homemade breads, continental breakfast and toasted muesli with yoghurt.

DINNER
Menus change seasonally and reservations are required for dining after 6pm, although some options are available for those that aren’t booked in.
the trading post
Cosy and quaint, The Trading Post cafe serves a range of hot and cold drinks (incredible coffee!) and home baking in the heart of Glenorchy, alongside a great selection of books and NZ souvenirs.
Choose from world-famous carrot cake, huge chocolate chip cookies, amazing slices, banana loaf and more. Bigger bites to eat include toasties, paninis and soup, offerings vary seasonally. Enjoy the mountain and lake views from the sheepskin covered benches or takeaway to the great outdoors.
Great service, friendly staff and nice coffee.A great place to sit on the lovely sheepskin rugs in the sunshine and drink a coffee while looking at the spectacular views.
bold peak lodge
Situated in the middle of the village, the lodge is where the locals congregate of an evening. Outdoor tables are perfect for those long summer evenings or snuggle up close to the fire on cooler nights.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
The Sugar Loaf Cafe provides a full range of breakfast options, coffee, freshly made sandwiches and sweet treats. Relax for lunch or organise a picnic lunch to take-away.
DINNER
The Humboldt Bar offers a great menu of traditional meals, like good old steak eggs and chips and delicious burgers, along with a great selection of local beers and wines.
