Enjoy 2 days immersed in nature on the tracks. Explore the Routeburn track for a day, followed by the Greenstone track for a day; we've got all the details covered, you just have to turn up!
DAY 1
DEPART
Depart Queenstown at 8am, pause at The Trading Post in Glenorchy to drop off bags and pick up your packed lunch, arrive at the Routeburn Shelter at 10am.
WALK
You have time to reach the Falls hut, enjoy lunch with a stunning view, and get back before the Kinloch Lodge van collects you at 4.30pm. Alternatively you can take the day slower and picnic in the Routeburn Flats, surrounded by mountains, where there is also a hut.
RELAX
You'll be checking in to your heritage room by 5pm, where your bags will be waiting. There's plenty of time to soak in the hot tub and freshen up before your 3 course dinner in the Kinloch Lodge restaurant.
DAY 2
DEPART
After a peaceful night and a hearty breakfast, you'll collect your packed lunch and the Kinloch Lodge van will transport you to the start of the Greenstone and Caples tracks at 9.30am.
WALK
Explore the Caples track to Mid Caples hut or venture up the Greenstone track to Greenstone hut, or enjoy the Lake Rere loop that connects to the Greenstone track. You'll have 6hrs to walk, plenty of time to do as much or as little as you like; the van will collect you at 4.30pm. Fishing and swimming are both possible on this adventure.
RELAX
Once again you'll have time to soak your hiking muscles in the hot tub before your 3 course dinner and sleep in the heritage lodge.
DAY 3
RELAX
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with our stunning surroundings and spend the morning as you wish. You can wander along the lake shore, give your legs a rest and explore Lake Wakatipu with our kayak guide, or treat yourself to some homemade baking and a good book!
RETURN
Our boat whisks you across to Glenorchy at 12.15pm where you meet your 3pm bus back to Queenstown. You can leave bags at The Trading Post, where you can grab lunch and a map to explore the village; the bus leaves from here.
Earlier return times to Queenstown can be arranged if needed. Please allow up to 24 hours for full confirmation of vans after booking.

There are sandflies in all areas with beech trees near water on the west coast, insect repellent is effective against them and is sold in Glenorchy.
Prices are based on a heritage double room and 2 people sharing. You can wake up to mountain and lake views from your bed for an additional $10 per person per night.
